Adrienne Lucking

Adrienne is a Level 4 Prosecutor and Rape Specialist. She is Public Access Trained and an Advocacy trainer. She was Appointed a Recorder for the Midland Circuit in 2009.
Adrienne is instructed in some of the most serious and complex cases of sexual
and violent offences, particularly rape, including by strangers, and murder.
She is regularly instructed in some of the most technically demanding and
sensitive cases and has substantial expertise in the representation and
prosecution of dangerous offenders.
Adrienne’s practice includes defending in organised crime, firearms and high–value money laundering. In addition, she has a substantial body of experience in the representation of those who are unfit to be tried but are charged with grave offences including very young defendants. She regularly deals with complex medical and scientific issues ranging from the ageing of fractures and odontology to more obscure issues such as friction co–efficients. Her preparation is meticulous as is her command of complex factual issues.
She is particularly sought after in cases involving the need for counsel who inspires confidence in vulnerable defendants and witnesses and is noted for her sensitive but firm handling of emotive issues. Reported cases of note include: R v TE [2011] EWCA Crim 1023 witnesses retracting statements post trial, witness intimidation and perverting the course of justice, R v Jordan, Alleyne and Others [2004] EWCA Crim 3291, mandatory sentences for prohibited firearms, R v RT (2002) 1 Cr App R 22, the scope of section 41 of the Youth Justice and Criminal Evidence Act 1999.
